I would have loved to see it in a more convenient space

In a country where identity crises is its major issue, where history is all about conflicts, where its people ignore most of their rituals and rites and have became something trapped between modernity and archaism. From major tunisien national historical caracters and events between the first world war and the second world war, to retracing dance steps of main figures and main eras. From confronting the audience to the reality of the tunisien society; homophobic, sexist, unbiased and board-minded at the same time ; to the audacity of outstripping social boundaries in favor of the artistic creation. «ولد جلّابة» is a complete narrative production between dance, music and national history, and an art lesson. One catch : i would have loved to see it in a more convenient space that would actually allow me to see it from above and all around.
